This
presentation will review the changes to the CPT® changes that will become
effective on January 1, 2022. We will look at the additions, revisions, and
deletions to this code set.
Session highlights:
· Revision to care planning for patients with cognitive impairment
· Changes to chronic care management options
· Creation of code range for principal are management services
· Addition of codes to anesthesia
· Spine code revisions to clarify interspace and vertebral segment
· Exclusion of left arterial appendage code additions

· Code choices added to the digestive and urinary system
· New choices in the 60000-code series for neurosurgery, eyes, and ears
· Expansion of codes for Dexascan in radiology
· New and revised lab codes
· Deleted, revised, and added codes in the medicine codes to include vaccinations and hear procedure
